What to Expect at a Candle Making Class

  • Each person will make two 11 oz. glass candles of the same custom scent, blending any combination of their choice using our 100 different scents.
  • We will guide you through the entire process of candle making - it is fun, relaxing, and a great way to disconnect!
  • Classes are typically about 2 hours.
  • Reservations are required.
  • Drinks and food can be brought to class (glassware is provided).
  • Workshop students receive 10% off all in-store merchandise the day of their class! Our store carries unique and thoughtfully-curated goods and gifts.
  • Can't make it back to our shop to pick up your candles? We can ship your class candles directly to you*!
  • Loved the blend that you created in class? We can create more candles for you!

Class Policies

  • HOW TO BOOK

    • Our public candle making class schedule can be viewed on our website here. You can sign up directly there!
    • Each seat purchased is for one person.

    ARRIVAL & PARKING:

    • Please arrive 10 minutes early to ensure time to get settled in our space before the class start time.
    • Classes will start at the scheduled time.
    • If you are going to be late, please call the shop at 513-429-5254. The class will still start on time.
    • Free parking is available in the lot across the street or along both sides of Eastern Avenue.

    REFUND POLICY

    • Must provide 48-hour notice: If cancellation is prior to 48 hours before class date/time, it will be rescheduled for a different date. Please provide updated date you would like to attend when cancelling your class. 
    • There are no refunds for no-shows on the day of your candle making class. If you purchase a candle making class with us and do not show up to it on the scheduled date and time, there is no refund. 
  • PRIVATE CANDLE MAKING CLASS - GROUP SIZE + HOW TO BOOK:

    • Private candle classes are for groups of 8-20. 
    • Private workshops require a minimum of 8* people. If you have less than 8 people you can book seats in a public class online for a date that works for your group.
    • *If you would like to book a private class during or overlapping with one of our public class times (and those are not already booked), a minimum of 12 people is required.
    • We require payment for 8 (or 12 if it's during a public class time) people upfront to reserve the space, but you can add more as the date gets closer.
    • When inquiring, please send the estimated size of your party and 2-3 dates and times that work for your group. We will run it by our schedule of availability. Once there is an agreed upon date and time, we will share a booking link. Once that has been paid for (8 or 12 person minimum), the space will be reserved for you.
    • We will reach out as we get closer to the date of the class to confirm the final guest count and will share an updated booking link at that time to complete the payment for any additional remaining seats.
    • We cannot hold dates or times without payment and will try to do our best if a date you inquired about gets booked by another party.

    CLASS START TIME:

    • Classes will start at the agreed upon scheduled time.
    • Please have your entire party arrive 5-10 minutes before the scheduled class time so everyone has a chance to set a seat, put on an apron, and get settled.
    • Private classes will be about 2 hours for a group of 8 or more.

    FOOD & DRINK:

    • You can bring any food, drinks, decorations you would like. We provide coffee, tea, water, wine glasses, bottle openers, fridge and microwave.
    • If you are bringing in anything that will need more than 15-20 minutes to get set up, please confirm this ahead of time with our team - we are always happy to accommodate this, but depending on the date/time of day, will need to ensure that someone from our team will be at the shop for this.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Our candle making classes are always $65/person (for both public and private candle making classes). One seat purchased = a seat for one person.

  • Candles need to settle overnight, they can be picked up the next day the store is open. Please review our Google page for current shop hours. 

    If you were a part of a large class, please allow some extra time for our team to prepare the candles the next morning.

    Candles must be picked up within 1-2 weeks after taking the class. 

  • No problem! We can ship your class candles directly to you!

    *We will first send an invoice to your email to cover the shipping cost. Once this has been paid, we will pack up the candles and send them on their way to you! You will receive tracking information via email as well. 

  • Our classes are typically 1.5 - 2 hours. The more people in the class, the longer the class will be.

  • You can bring any food, drinks, decorations you would like. We provide coffee, tea, water, wine glasses, bottle openers, fridge and microwave.

    If you will be in a public class, please be mindful of any decorations to consider other class attendees.

    If you are bringing in anything that will need more than 15-20 minutes to get set up, please confirm this ahead of time with our team - we are always happy to accommodate this, but depending on the date/time of day, will need to ensure that someone from our team will be at the shop for this.
