DETAILS: 

• We offer private classes any day or time of the week (within reason), as long as we have the availability to teach it.
• Private classes are for groups of 8–20 guests.
• Fewer than 8? You're welcome to book seats in a public class on a date that works for your group.
• To book a private class during or overlapping a public class time (if it isn't already booked), a minimum of 12 guests is required.
• For groups of 15 or more, please let us know in advance so we can schedule additional staff.

HOW TO BOOK A PRIVATE CLASS:

When you inquire, please share:

1. 2–3 specific dates with specific start times. These are requests, not confirmed bookings. We'll check them against our class schedule and team availability, then reply with what works. Example: Tuesday, December 1 at 6pm or Wednesday, December 2 at 4pm. Or: any Thursday in December beginning at 2pm.
2. Your estimated number of guests (minimum 8, maximum 20). Don't worry if you don't know your exact count yet! We'll confirm your final headcount as your date gets closer, which gives you more time to collect RSVPs.
3. What you're planning: a work outing, birthday, book club or anything else!
4. Anything else we should know?

ONCE WE AGREE ON A DATE & TIME:

1. We'll send a booking link for the minimum: 8 guests, or 12 during a public class time.
2. Your date is reserved once that payment is complete.
3. As your class gets closer, we'll confirm your final headcount and send an updated link to pay for any additional guests.
4. All seats must be paid for at least 48 hours before your class start time so our team can prepare for your group.

We can't hold dates without payment, but we'll do our best to find another option if a date you asked about gets booked.

Yes! Gift cards can be used on anything in our shop, including classes, so they're the perfect way to gift one. We recommend purchasing in increments of $65 so they can bring a friend. For example, a $130 gift card covers a seat for them and a plus-one.

You can reschedule or cancel for a refund 2 or more days before your class. The day before, you can still reschedule but refunds are no longer available. (For example, for a Saturday class: refund or reschedule by Thursday, reschedule only on Friday.) We're not able to accept cancellations or reschedule requests on the day of class. No-shows with no communication to our team are not refunded.

Classes are laid back and fun, but you're really making candles! Our team will guide you through every step, from blending your own custom scent with any combination of our 100 fragrances to pouring two 11 oz glass candles with natural soy wax and premium fragrance oils. You'll also learn proper candle care. It's relaxing and a great way to disconnect.

No. Each guest makes 2 candles from their own tray. Trays can't be split between guests and additional candles can't be made, no matter the age of the guests.

We provide aprons, but you'll be working with hot wax and fragrance oils, so dress with that in mind.

Any food, drinks or decorations you'd like. In a public class, please be mindful of other guests when bringing food and decorations.

Coffee, tea, water, reusable plastic wine glasses and drinkware (not glass), bottle openers, a refrigerator and a microwave.

Yes! If setup will take more than 20 minutes, please let us know ahead of time so someone from our team can be there to let you in.

No. Candles need to settle overnight at our shop. They're ready for pickup the next day we're open.

Anytime during our retail store hours starting the next day we're open, with no need to schedule a time. See our Google page for current hours. If you were part of a large class, please allow extra time for our team to prep your candles that morning.

Yes! We can box up your group's candles together for one person to pick up. Or we can place them on our class pickup rack so everyone can come get their own. Just let your chandler know your preference!

Please pick up your candles within 1–2 weeks of your class. We aren't able to hold them long-term and can't guarantee they'll still be available after that.

No problem, we can ship your candles to you! Email info@manitoucandleco.com with your first and last name, mailing address, number of candles to ship and the exact names you wrote on your labels so we know which candles are yours. 

Bonus if you send a photo, since handwriting can be tricky to read! We'll email you an invoice for shipping. Once it's paid, we'll pack up your candles and send tracking info by email. We ship within the U.S. only. Shipping can take up to 5 business days.

Yes! Everyone who takes a class receives 10% off all in-store merchandise the day of their class. Our shop carries unique and thoughtfully curated goods and gifts.

Yes! We can pour your custom blend for you for $38 per candle. Email info@manitoucandleco.com with the scents used in your blend, how many candles you'd like, what you'd like on the labels (or we can leave them blank for you to fill in later) and whether you'd like them shipped (shipping added to your invoice) or picked up in store (free).
