Custom Candle Orders

For those seeking a truly bespoke branding experience, we offer custom candle ordering. You can choose your own signature scents, vessel (3 oz gold tin or 11 oz glass) and options for fully custom or semi custom labels.

  • Choose between our 3 oz tins (3” diameter) with a 20 hour burn time, or our 11 oz glass jars (4.19” H x 3.25” W) with an 80 hour burn time
  • Each candle will have a Manitou Candle Co. warning label at the bottom.
  • All tin candles come with a matching gold lid.
  • All glass candles will have a protective thick dust cover placed on top of the candle.
  • OPTIONAL: fully custom labels and kraft exterior boxes

The Custom Order Process

Step 1

Kickoff Conversation

We’ll begin by scheduling a time to connect. Whether via email, phone call, or an in-person meeting at our studio (4015 Eastern Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45226). During this conversation, we’ll discuss your vision, walk you through our custom candle process, answer any questions, and begin the custom scent process (if you decide to go that route - can also choose one of our 100 scents).

Please note: we do not allow walk-ins for custom candle meetings. Please contact to schedule a time.

Step 2

Sample Creation

You will have two options for scents - you can choose one of our 100 signature scents (at no additional charge) or craft your own (longer lead time and additional cost).

If you would prefer a custom scent, following our initial conversation, we’ll craft a curated selection of 3–6 custom scent samples based on your preferences.

Each round of samples is $20 and includes multiple variations. If additional refinements are needed, subsequent rounds are also $20 each. Please allow 10–12 days for sample development.

Step 3

Scent Approval

The samples are yours to explore at your own pace. We welcome your feedback and are here to make any adjustments needed.

Once you've found your favorite, we’ll move forward with bringing your custom candle to life.

Step 4

Custom Label Ordering

We offer two tailored options for custom labels. While we do not have an in-house design team or printer, we’ll work closely with you to ensure your final product reflects your brand beautifully.

We’ll provide the label dimensions based on your chosen vessel(s). Your team will handle the design and ordering of the labels, and we’ll take care of the rest - applying them to your finished candles and packaging everything with care. This option is ideal for those with design experience or
in-house creative teams seeking a fully bespoke label.

Choose from one of our three label templates. Simply share your candle name and logo with us and we’ll insert your information, provide a digital proof for approval, and manage the label order on your behalf.

Step 5

Candle Production

Once your scent selection and vessel quantities (tin and/or glass) are finalized, we will send a detailed digital invoice for your review. Production begins upon receipt of full payment. Due to the nature of our custom process, we are unable to begin production or make changes to your order once payment has been received.
