Candle Care

First Burn Rule

After lighting the candle, always ensure that the melt pool meets the edges of the container before extinguishing the flame. The initial burn takes about 4 hours for our 11 oz glass candles and about 2 hours for our 3 oz tin candles to meet the outer edges of each container. The time decreases for future burns, but is just as important as it will avoid any frustrating wicks that are difficult to relight.

Trim the Wick

Always trim your wick to about ¼ inch before each time you light your candle. Removing any mushroom-like buildup on the wick will allow your candle to burn more evenly, plus it will look better!

Location + Duration

Keep candles away from drafty windows and doorways while they are lit and away from sunlight whenever possible. Direct sunlight can cause the candle to discolor.
Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time.

The wider the container, the stronger the fragrance. Smaller containers (like our tins) are great for bathrooms and smaller rooms. Larger containers (like our glass) are great for larger rooms, like kitchens, living rooms, etc.
